CHRONIC WOUNDS

Even in spite of intense therapy and use of various possibilities of treatment, some wounds do not show signs of healing (i.e. the process of tissue regeneration) in the long term.

It is a complex process which is influenced by many factors. In case of treatment with amniotic membrane, the stimulating factors are mostly cytokines, growth factors and natural tissue structure which serve as a scaffolding for migration of cells and epithelization of the wound.

In the field of wound treatment, it is used to cover and treat acute and chronic wounds, ulcers, for surgical applications at reconstruction surgeries, to prevent the wound from adhesion, to support the healing process, to cover and support of leg ulcers, bed sores, etc. The application is followed by easing and speeding the healing process up, it supports the epithelization, reduces scarring and supports the vessel renewal.
